Oh The Things You’ll Discover

Another unexpected surprise! It happened again… I was doing some online research looking for one thing and accidently stumbled onto a gold mine of info. I love when this happens!!! Sometimes it has felt like I’m being sucked down a rabbit hole, however, the amount of information and knowledge I’ve gained over the years is invaluable and totally worth it. I have found so much incredible information this way. And, so can you! In fact, I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to conduct your own research. I believe that we are lead to those things that will benefit us. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve run across information within days of needing it, for either myself, or someone else. It has happened so many times that it is mathematically impossible to be a coincidence. I like to refer to these instances as divine appointments! I began my online research today … Continue reading

Raindrop treatment on the feet!

Ever wished you could have a Raindrop massage (on your back), but can’t find anyone nearby who is trained and available?   Use the Raindrop oils on the feet instead! It’s marvelous!!! Layer each one of the oils one at a time, in the sequence shown, mostly to the inside of the foot… all the way from the big toe, down to the bottom of the heel; waiting 2-3 minutes before applying the next oil. It’s important to know that as the oils go work within your body, you’ll want to make sure that you drink plenty of water, both before and after, to help the body flush toxins, so they don’t just end up recirculating around the body. Staying hydrated is one of the most important things you can do for your body, especially when you’re using essential oils. It helps you regularly flush out toxins, keep your skin … Continue reading

Geranium, Lemon & Pine… One POWERFUL trio!

Geranium, Lemon & Pine… these 3 essential oils combined make one POWERFUL TRIO! I’ve been doing some research and found a PubMed research article that mentioned citronellol, geraniol, and neryl acetate were the major compounds of geranium oil, and that limonene was a major compound of lemon oil. Because these compounds are so beneficial, I decided to make up roller bottle and a nasal inhaler. Over the years I’ve had many, many positive experiences with essential oils but love when I find evidence based research to find out how and why they work. Since I never throw out my empty essential oil bottles it was super easy and quick to make up this roller bottle and a nasal inhaler but you can use an empty, store-bought roller bottle. Just make sure it has a stainless steel roller ball. I’ve found that the plastic ones are cheap and don’t work out … Continue reading

When Your Husband Can’t Say “I Love You!”

Some people, mostly men, have a hard time expressing their love by saying three simple words. I. Love. You. It’s not that they don’t love you, as they show you in other ways. It’s just that they won’t say it. But let’s be honest, most women need to hear their man say those three simple words. Women, I’m hear to tell you, there is HOPE! Read on! Gary Young, the founder of Young Living Essential Oils shared the following story at the 2005 International Grand Convention. A JOYFUL STORY “I am going to share with you a story about Joy that will give you a tickle. This is a true story–it really happened. In 1992 a beautiful lady came to me and said, “Gary, my husband hates the oils. He doesn’t want me working with the oils, he doesn’t want me having anything to do with the oils. He won’t … Continue reading

Seasonal ‘CIDER MILL’ Thieves Household Cleaning Spray

There is something wonderful about fall. Even though it precedes the long winter months it remains my favorite time of year. The warm days and clear, crisp, cool nights are the perfect setting for attending outdoor festivals and not be annoyed by all the bugs while enjoying all the abundance of the fall harvests. And who doesn’t thoroughly enjoy seeing all bright fall colors of the trees as they change into vibrant and beautiful billboards of red, orange, and golden colors. It’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. This year marks the 53rd National Apple Harvest and sadly most of these outdoor events, regularly held the first two weeks in October, have been cancelled and many will be missing the sights, sounds and aromas that surround these events. If you’ve ever been to one you know what’s I’m talking about. Fortunately, you can recreate a … Continue reading

THIEVES DISH SOAP Turn 1 Bottle Into 4 and Add Suds

thieves dish soap turn 1 bottle 2

When I first got my Thieves Dish Soap I was like… “Where’s the bubbles?” not to mention being less than thrilled about the price. I mean, let’s be real, few people can afford to pay $14 (wholesale price/June 2019) for a 12 fl. oz. bottle of dish soap. Sure, I want to ditch chemical laden dish soaps but it has to be affordable too. Well, this post is going to show you a hack on how to turn that one 12 oz bottle into 4 power packed bottles (or 48 oz’s) of dish soap, allowing you to get more cleansing power and suds, making it much more affordable at approximately $3.50 a bottle. Plant-based dish soaps on the market thankfully tend to not include SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) which is a good thing for sure. Why is this a good thing? Well, according to the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep … Continue reading

Got messy rooms CITRUS FRESH 2019

Lets be honest, many of you hate housecleaning. You’d rather do anything than clean a bathroom right? And getting kids to clean their room! Ugh… that can be a real struggle for parents. Well, it may be easier than you think to change your attitude towards cleaning and that of your children. The practice of aromatherapy is well known for its ability to trigger memories, and influence emotions and thought, but recent research shows that it can even effect behavior and actually set the “mood” for cleaning. How cool is that! “The ability of essential oils to act on both the mind and the body is what makes them truly unique among natural substances. The fragrance of some essential oils can be very stimulating– both psychologically and physically.”– D. Gary Young   Your sense of smell exerts a surprising and powerful influence over your body on the physical, mental and … Continue reading
