THIEVES DISH SOAP Turn 1 Bottle Into 4 and Add Suds

thieves dish soap turn 1 bottle 2

When I first got my Thieves Dish Soap I was like… “Where’s the bubbles?” not to mention being less than thrilled about the price. I mean, let’s be real, few people can afford to pay $14 (wholesale price/June 2019) for a 12 fl. oz. bottle of dish soap. Sure, I want to ditch chemical laden dish soaps but it has to be affordable too. Well, this post is going to show you a hack on how to turn that one 12 oz bottle into 4 power packed bottles (or 48 oz’s) of dish soap, allowing you to get more cleansing power and suds, making it much more affordable at approximately $3.50 a bottle. Plant-based dish soaps on the market thankfully tend to not include SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) which is a good thing for sure. Why is this a good thing? Well, according to the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep … Continue reading

Got Messy Rooms? Use this SECRET WEAPON!

Got messy rooms CITRUS FRESH 2019

Lets be honest, many of you hate housecleaning. You’d rather do anything than clean a bathroom right? And getting kids to clean their room! Ugh… that can be a real struggle for parents. Well, it may be easier than you think to change your attitude towards cleaning and that of your children. The practice of aromatherapy is well known for its ability to trigger memories, and influence emotions and thought, but recent research shows that it can even effect behavior and actually set the “mood” for cleaning. How cool is that! “The ability of essential oils to act on both the mind and the body is what makes them truly unique among natural substances. The fragrance of some essential oils can be very stimulating– both psychologically and physically.”– D. Gary Young   Your sense of smell exerts a surprising and powerful influence over your body on the physical, mental and … Continue reading

OUR VET VISIT A Calming Experience

our vet visit a calming experience FB POST

I want to share with you about a an experience we had during our recent vet visit and remind you that essential oil‘s are not just for humans but can be great for our pets too. It’s funny how each animal responds differently when going to the vet and, just like us humans, can find it to be a stressful experience. Our dog had a serious health issue recently and we were making frequent vet visits. The vet was drawing blood from her at each visit which I’m sure wasn’t a pleasant experience. Surprisingly, in spite of this, she was actually excited to go, each and every time. I guess she is what you would call a “social butterfly”. In spite of the blood draw, she was always excited to go and couldn’t wait to visit with the other dogs that came in. Go figure! At our second to last … Continue reading

Create An Aromatically Safe Home

just breathe CLARITY THIEVES DIGIZE

Instead of using toxic air fresheners and scented candles, begin to create an aromatically safe home. I diffuse genuine, premium-grade essential oils, not to be confused with the cheap chemical-laden synthetic versions found at your local store. Most of the time I do so with a purpose. This means I don’t just diffuse essential oils to make our home smell good. I diffuse essential oils because of their limitless potential and beneficial value. Diffusing creates a healthy ionized room, can neutralize (not mask) odors, provide an uplifting environment and help elevate moods, force dust to the floor, provide a calming environment to support a better nights sleep, support better focus, and even promote better energy for those occasional afternoon slumps, and so much more. For instance, today, I have lots of mental work to do so I’ve got my diffuser on my desk diffusing CLARITY™ essential oil. Clarity™ blends Basil, Rosemary, Peppermint, … Continue reading

DELICIOUS Gluten-Free Mock Oatmeal

They say timing is everything! I think I’d have to agree after the last 24 hours. Let me explain… Yesterday, I had some bananas that were beginning to get too ripe and didn’t want them to go to waste so I decided to freeze some of them to use in smoothies. I peeled several of them and put them in the freezer, and carefully hung the remaining three back up on the banana holder. Shortly afterwards I went back into the kitchen and found that the remaining three had started peeling themselves and got a good chuckle out of it. I thought it strange as I have never seen them do that before! Not wanting them to get infested with gnats, I carefully removed them from the hanger and laid the peeling back on the bananas, and then placed in the refrigerator.   Early this morning, I received a phone … Continue reading

Get a Jump Start on 2018

As we come to the close of one year and enter into the next, its a good time to reflect on the past and set new goals for the future. However, sometimes that’s easier said than done, right? It can be very hard, some would say impossible, to move forward when we’re still hanging onto the past… whether that means harboring unforgiveness in our hearts towards past wrongs or perhaps holding onto old memories or habits, good or bad. Either way, if we remain focused on them they can keep us locked in the past and prevent us from moving forward and into the future. Fortunately essential oils may be just the answer you’ve been looking for. I was fascinated and amazed when I learned of the impact that our sense of smell has on our body and mind. The simple act of inhaling scents through our olfactory system (sense … Continue reading

Homemade Ginger Ale with a KICK!

homemade-gingerale-w-oils

One of the best things that you can do is to for your health is to ditch all the sugar laden drinks and sodas, and replace them with healthier options like homemade lemonade or this homemade ginger ale with a kick. Most of the drinks on the market contain either high-fructose corn syrup, which means your drinking a product made from GMO’s which is a whole other subject in and of itself, or artificial sweeteners. Its getting harder and harder but I try to avoid GMO’s like the plague. In recent years studies have shown that sugar is more addictive as cocaine… yep that’s right, COCAINE. Dr. Mercola, an alternative medicine proponent and osteopathic physician, says it’s “one of the most addictive and harmful substances currently known”. If you’ve ever tried to get off sugar and had a hard time doing so, now you know why! And don’t think for … Continue reading
