Dill Vitality Essential Oil Uses and Benefits

Dill is one of the unsung heros in the essential oil world! Native to Asia, dill has been used as an herbal treatment as far back as 1550 BC, when it was recorded on ancient Egyptian papyrus. Did you know dill is contained in Hildegard’s Medicine Book? Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) was known as the first herbalist and naturopath of the middle ages. Dill was found in the tomb of Egyptian Pharaoh Amenhotep II, and its use was also documented by the Ancient Greeks. Dill Vitality has a spicy, fresh scent that is stimulating, revitalizing, and balancing. It is produced by steam distilling the whole dill plant, yielding a fresh herbal essential oil that can be used to enhance the flavor of traditional Russian, European, Asian and Scandinavian dishes. In addition, it contains antioxidants, may provide digestive support, and offers cleansing properties when taken internally.* FEATURES & BENEFITS Has a … Continue reading

Soothing Thieves Tea

Thieves® tea is quite tasty and very soothing. There are several versions for making Thieves tea but this one, which includes raw apple cider vinegar and honey, is my favorite and super simple to make.   The addition of apple cider vinegar (ACV) helps alkalinize the body. The acetic acid in apple cider vinegar helps your body absorb vitamins and minerals from the foods you eat, and also slows down digestive enzymes to regulate blood sugar levels. Controlling of the acid in your body is perhaps one of the single most important processes you need to support. Thieves® is a legendary blend of essential oils is formulated with Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Rosemary, which provide immune support and cleansing properties when taken internally.* 1- Simply brew your favorite tea or just use plain ole hot water. …I like using The Republic of Tea’s Honey Ginseng Green Tea … Continue reading

ENZYMES The Spark of Life

Enzymes are the spark of life. Without enzymes life wouldn’t exist. So, what are they actually good for? My answer – absolutely everything! Think of enzymes as a “spark plug” or the catalyst that initiates all the processes that happen within the human body. Having plenty of digestive enzymes is one of the keys to obtaining optimal health. Every chemical reaction that takes place within the human body requires them. Without enzymes, no mineral, vitamin, or hormone can do its work. Enzymes are quite literally… the substances that make life possible! They are needed to digest food, run the heart, kidneys, liver, and lungs, and yes, even to think!   Focusing on digestive enzymes can be a game changer, so let’s dive in. You are what you eat, right? WRONG!!! I’m sure you’ve heard of the old adage “You are what you eat!”, right? Well, in actuality, you aren’t JUST … Continue reading

Exposing Sugar’s Dirty Little Secrets

Reducing sugar and highly processed foods, from your diet, could change your life.- Jody Stanislaw   It’s time to expose sugar’s dirty little secrets. It’s a silent killer and its devastating effects are creating more deaths than automobile accidents. Did you know that in animal studies they found that sugar is more addictive than cocaine? One study done on rats showed that chronic sugar consumption creates as much damage to the brain as abuse done in childhood. There is growing scientific consensus that one of the most common types of sugar, fructose, can be toxic to the liver, just like alcohol. Data from animal and human studies implicate added sugars (eg, sucrose and high-fructose corn syrup) are responsible in the development of fatty liver disease and its consequences. Added fructose in particular, as a component of added sugars, may pose the greatest risk for fatty liver disease. According to Dr. … Continue reading

DELICIOUS Gluten-Free Mock Oatmeal

They say timing is everything! I think I’d have to agree after the last 24 hours. Let me explain… Yesterday, I had some bananas that were beginning to get too ripe and didn’t want them to go to waste so I decided to freeze some of them to use in smoothies. I peeled several of them and put them in the freezer, and carefully hung the remaining three back up on the banana holder. Shortly afterwards I went back into the kitchen and found that the remaining three had started peeling themselves and got a good chuckle out of it. I thought it strange as I have never seen them do that before! Not wanting them to get infested with gnats, I carefully removed them from the hanger and laid the peeling back on the bananas, and then placed in the refrigerator.   Early this morning, I received a phone … Continue reading

The Benefits of Drinking Kombucha Tea

Kombucha tea, one of my favorite superfoods, has been around for a long, long time and in recent years has really grown in popularity. Its a naturally carbonated beverage that when made properly, happens to be a super nutritious thyroid and autoimmune elixir, full of B vitamins, vitamin C, enzymes for digestion, acids to boost the immune system, and gut-healing probiotics.   Many scientific studies have been conducted on Kombucha tea. Russian researchers discovered that many of its components have antibiotic and detoxifying characteristics, and they play a decisive role in the biochemical processes in the body. Its been reported that it detoxes heavy metals, plastics, and neurotoxins! Kombucha tea is made from a scoby mushroom which consists of a gelatinoid and tough mushroom-web membrane in the form of a flat disk. It lives in a nutrient solution of tea and sugar, in which it constantly multiplies through germinating. The fungal disc … Continue reading

Bone Broth- A Powerful Healing Tool

Bone broth, a highly beneficial, nutrient dense superfood has been used since ancient times and is considered to be one of the most remarkable foods on the planet that is made from simmering animal or fish bones. Its a powerful healing tool, often referred to as “the elixir of life.” Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, said over 2,000 years ago… “All disease begins in the gut.” Modern day science is finally coming around and confirming this ancient wisdom. Sadly, most people remain unaware of how incredibly beneficial bone broth is and miss out on the opportunity to transform their health and life. When you were sick as a child, did your mom ever make a pot of chicken soup and insist that you eat it, telling you that it would make you feel better? Have you ever wondered why? Homemade bone broth has amazing health benefits and can be … Continue reading

Time to Cleanse, Rebuild, & Support

Time to CLEANSE & REBUILD

Would you like to combat all the garbage you’ve exposed your body to over the years and help it function at optimal levels? The average American diet includes highly processed foods, laden with high fructose corn syrup, sugar or artificial sweeteners, dyes, pesticides, and ingredients whose names most people can’t even pronounce. Hippocrates, known as the father of medicine, is well known for this quote which you’ve probably heard a thousand times, right? “Let thy food be thy medicine, and let thy medicine be thy food.” The modern day version of this is… “garbage in, garbage out” or “You are what you eat!”   The consumption of dead, chemical laden, highly processed foods and exposing ourselves to toxic, hormone disrupting chemicals, multiple times on a daily basis is wreaking havoc on on bodies and literally making us sick. Is it any wonder that so many people experience so many health … Continue reading
