Is Your Laundry Routine Hazardous to YOUR Health

When you think of pollution, you probably think of outdoor pollution, right? You know, the kind that is a by-product of vehicle emissions or industrial manufacturing. The kind that produces a heavy layer of smog in cities that fills the air with toxic fumes and chemicals. When I think of pollution one particular day comes to mind. It hung there all day and into the night which turned the brightly lit nighttime sky orange. I kept thinking to myself how much smog there must be in the air for it to do that. It was not a pretty sight. Fortunately, since then the Federal government, along with state and local communities have put laws and policies in place … Continue reading

Even in your favorite perfumes and colognes. The list literally goes on and on. If a product has a fragrance chances are its from a toxic soup of chemicals. We are constantly exposed to them and they can be found literally everywhere- in our homes, cars, schools, office buildings, stores, malls, etc. In fact, it’s hard to … Continue reading

12 Days of Christmas DIY Foaming Hand Soap

This is day two of the 12 Days of Christmas DIY Recipes series, showing you how to use your essential oils and make your own essential oil infused gifts. Today’s project is going to show you how incredibly easy it is to make your own essential oil infused foaming bath soap, and it’s even easier than making yesterday’s bath salts. Before we begin there are a couple of things to keep in mind… 1- It’s important to use a foaming soap dispenser and NOT just a regular soap dispenser. These types of dispensers are intended to make the soap “foamy” otherwise it comes out watery.
