Before you hit the road this holiday season consider packing a wellness go-bag. It’s a great way to ensure that you can continue to use some of your favorite remedies, supplements, essential oils and go-to fixes while you’re on the road and away from home.
You never know what might happen or what you might run into along the way. So whether you want to sooth your nerves, boost your immunity, ease digestion or be prepared for any unforeseen accidents, use some of the following tips to make up your own go-bag and fill it with some of your favorite items or products.
Begin By Making a List
No two people are alike so your go-bag list won’t look exactly like mine. You’ll want to customize it and make it your own, and include items that you feel are essential. Ones that you want to make sure you have on hand. For me, this kit definitely includes essential oils, homeopathic remedies and cell salts. Your kit will look different than mine, and should include your own personal “must-haves.”
Choosing Your Bag
You’ll want to use a sturdy, small lightweight bag. Backpacks or duffle bags are perfect choices. Use a bag that can dedicate for this use. I use a backpack that was offered by Young Living for their 2019 International Convention attendees. This backpack has space for total of 39 essential oil bottles (5-ml or 15-ml)– 32 bottles on the bottom and another 7 on the side, making it the perfect go-bag for my needs.

My Homeopathic Travel Kit and Remedies
My journey into finding and using natural holistic practices began back in 1995 with homeopathic remedies and has been life changing so for me and my family. I have literally invested thousands of hours studying and researching this subject. For me, including homeopathic remedies and cell salts in my go-bag is a no brainer.
Back in 1996 or so a group of friends formed a homeopathic study group which allowed us to learn about and how to use homeopathic remedies. Our study group put together a small travel kit of remedies in small fat dram bottles that included approximately 100+ of some of the most commonly used remedies- some in different potencies, and includes the 12 cell salts and BioPlasma (all 12 cell salts in one) and a few herbal tinctures.
While doing my own research on homeopathic remedies, I learned of a trick I now call ARNICA RAMPING that I have found extremely effective for sports injures (strains, sprains and pulled muscles). This “ramping” is used by European practitioners but not readily known by or used by U.S. practitioners. You simply take 3 pellets of four different potencies of ARNICA, 3-4 hours apart, starting with the lowest potency and working your way up.
So this means that if you start with Arnica 6C,
-then 4 hours later you might use Arnica 12C,
-then 4 hours later you might use Arnica 30C,
and continue, if still needed, with Arnica 200C.
Personally, it has worked so well that I have never needed to use all 4 potencies.
ITEMS TO CONSIDER FOR YOUR GO-BAG
-your family’s personal health journal(s)
-thermometer
-stainless steel bottle
-collapsible cup
-favorite immune boosting or sleepy time teas
-glass eye wash cup
-magnifying glass
-tweezers
-scissors
-band-aids and gauze
-Q-tips and cotton balls
-extra pair of socks and plastic bag(s)… for foot fomentations

There is no right or wrong way to make your own go-bag. Don’t stress over it. The important thing is to decide to make one and what you’re going to put in it, and then bring it with you on your next roadtrip!
Wishing you happy and safe travels!
