Living a chemical-free lifestyle should include using toothpaste and mouthwash that is safe and chemical free which is why you should make our THIEVES™ toothpaste, mouthwash and/or Thieves essential oil blend part of your teeth brushing routine. I say this for good reason! You may not be aware of this but did you know that most toothpastes on the market contain toxic chemicals? Yep, that’s right. Have you ever read the ingredients and warnings on the typical toothpaste products found at your grocery or drug store? Don’t believe me? Go grab your tube of toothpaste or better yet, the next time you’re at your grocery store take a look at the various varieties of toothpastes and mouthwashes… look for the ingredient listing, then check the box or bottle to see if there is a warning on it. Look closely… many contain poison warnings and tell you not to ingest?
Many of the warnings state that you shouldn’t swallow more than what is used for brushing. HOWEVER, what they don’t tell you is the mucosal lining of the mouth, the inside lining of your checks, has a 90% absorption efficiency. So regardless of whether you’re swallowing your toothpaste, the toxic chemicals in your toothpaste ARE BEING ABSORBED every time you brush your teeth. Fortunately there are safe alternatives and our THIEVES product line contains various toothpaste options, including our KidScents Slique Toothpaste for kids. Be sure to check out our THIEVES mouthwash and floss too, along with all the other products in this line, from our highly concentrated household cleanser to laundry soap, dish soap and much more.
Years ago I invested in a good Oral-B Electric Toothbrush. You know the kind that rotates in a circular motion. What a difference it’s made in helping me to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Electric toothbrushes remove up to 97 per cent of plaque. And because the head of the toothbrush is small and round, it makes it easier to reach the hard to reach areas, you know, where your molars are in the back of your mouth. If you struggle with this issue I suggest you also invest in one. I’m certain that you too will notice a difference. If you practice good basic dental care, which involves regular brushing AND flossing, your teeth AND gums can last a lifetime.
In order to brush all your teeth adequately it’s suggested that you take approximately 2 minutes when brushing your teeth. Most people only spend 30-40 seconds! My electric toothbrush has a 2 minute timer on it so I always know exactly how much time to brush. Just hold the electric toothbrush along the gum line and leave it on the surface of every tooth for a couple of seconds – be sure to do both front and back sides of teeth. Your teeth and gums will thank you for it.
Don’t forget… brush both morning (after breakfast) and at night (before bed) to get the best results from your brushing!
My Morning Routine for Fresh Clean Teeth and Breath!

Add one drops of Thieves Vitality essential oil.
Rebrush teeth briefly covering all teeth, front and back. Don’t spit… add a small amount of water, swish for 30 seconds or so and SWALLOW!
Try this routine and see the difference it makes in your smile and on your breath! With this routine you’ll be good to go for all those close encounters made every day!
