Sometimes life throws us a curve ball… something that we weren’t expecting. We rejoice when its something good or exciting and never complain when that happens, right? However… sometimes good things come to us disguised as something bad, or something to be avoided and can take us down a path that we would not have chosen willingly, and many times they can leave us wondering “Why is this happening?” Because of my life experiences, I can now look back on many of these times in my life and give thanks for them because of the positive changes they produced. There certainly is something to be said for hindsight… its just hard to keep all that in mind while in the midst of a storm.
One of these “times” happened years ago when my daughter was just shy of her 8th birthday and is responsible for taking me down the path less followed. Something happened that immediately caused me to think… “This is NOT normal. There is no way I’m going to do that. There has got to be a better way!!!” Although I didn’t have a clue what the answer was or what I was going to do, somehow I KNEW there was a better way and it forced me to start searching for answers, to start educating myself… and it has made all the difference. Thankfully, we found the answer right away and because of this “experience” my life has never been the same. It took me and my family down a path towards health and freedom that I didn’t know existed before, and eventually lead me to Young Living’s essential oils.
This journey that I began long ago has not only impacted our lives but lives of many others that I’ve run across over the years. What at first appeared to be something terrible ended up being something positive and beautiful to watch unfold through the years. I am thankful beyond words for the opportunity to take the path less traveled. It truly has made all the difference.
Although it has not always easy, and sometimes I’ve failed miserably at it, over the years I’ve learned to give thanks in any and all circumstances, and try to find the silver lining and to pray, asking God to help me see things from His perspective and to guide me along the way. Having learned a thing or two along the way about essential oils, now I also use essential oils to give me a helping hand with this. They can have a powerful effect on the body, mind and spirit. Two of my favorites for this are Gratitude and Believe.
Gratitude- contains Idaho Balsam Fir, Frankincense, Ylang Ylang, Galbanum and other essential oils that may help foster a grateful attitude and help you to embrace the blessings in your life. The uplifting aroma of Gratitude™ invites a feeling of emotional and spiritual progress.
Believe™ contains Idaho Blue Spruce, Idaho Balsam Fir, Frankincense, and other essential oils that may encourage feelings of strength and faith when used aromatically.
Use diluted – 50:50 dilution (one part essential oil: one part of vegetable oil). Then…
Apply 2-4 on crown of head, over the heart, behind ears, wrists, or feet
Add several drops 6-8 to epsom salts, and then to bath water
Apply to chakras/vitaflex points
Directly inhale or diffuse
I am so grateful that I began my own journey into the world of Young Living Essential Oils because of the huge impact that its had in our lives.
