JOY- Uplifting and Alluring

Joy™ is a luxuriously exotic blend with uplifting overtones that creates magnetic energy and brings joy to the heart. This blend combines Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Lemon, Coriander, Tangerine, Jasmine, Roman Chamomile, Palmarosa, and Rose essential oils that harmonize for a sweet, joyful aroma. Joy exudes an alluring and irresistible fragrance that inspires romance and togetherness. When diffused, it can be refreshing and uplifting.

Joy provided my sister and I with our first “WOW” experience with essential oils, and has continued to do so with many others too. Since that time, we both wear it as our “perfume” and are often approached by others asking what perfume we’re wearing because it smells so amazing. With its alluring and uplifting scent why not wear it daily!

Ingredients

Please note: In the summer of 2012 Joy essential oil blend was reformulated because of deforestation and limited availability of Rosewood Essential Oil.

There are ten different oils in Joy. They are listed below along with a brief description of each oil.

Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) Essential Oil has the fresh, sweet, citrus scent that is familiar to many as the flavoring in Earl Grey Tea. Uplifting and relaxing, it is good for building confidence and enhancing your mood. It has a long history of use for oily and troubled skin. The essential oil has a calming aroma which relaxes the mind and body.

Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) Essential Oil has a sweet, soft, flowery fragrance that has made it a romantic favorite. In Indonesia, the petals are often strewn across a marriage bed. Ylang ylang is extremely effective in calming and bringing about a sense of relaxation, and it may help with releasing feelings of anger, tension, and nervous irritability. It has a long history in skin and hair care products, particularly in Asia, where it is used to promote luxuriant hair. Ylang Ylang has an approximate ORAC of 1,300,478 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.

Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) Essential Oil has a wonderfully uplifting, calming, flowery scent. It is excellent for the skin, and its aromatic influence helps release negative memories. Used traditionally to support the circulatory and nervous systems, a great deal of its strength lies in its ability to revitalize body tissues.* Geranium has an approximate ORAC of 1,010,011 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.

Lemon (Citrus limon) Essential Oil has a strong, purifying, citrus scent that is revitalizing and uplifting. Lemon consists of 68 percent dlimonene, a powerful antioxidant. It is delightfully refreshing in water and may be beneficial for the skin. Lemon may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods. Lemon essential oil is cold-pressed from the rinds of lemons. Jean Valnet MD estimated that it takes 3,000 lemons to produce one kilo of oil. In his book, The Practice of Aromatherapy, Valnet wrote that lemon is a tonic for supporting the nervous and sympathetic nervous system.* Lemon has an approximate ORAC of 6,619 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.

Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) Essential Oil , from the Cilantro plant (Coriandrum sativum) used since Ancient Egypt has a sweet, warm, herbaceous fragrance that has soothing and calming properties. It may support healthy digestive and circulatory system functions and has been studied for the support it may offer to a healthy pancreas. Coriander has an approximate ORAC of 298,299 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter

Tangerine (Citrus reticulata) Essential Oil is a calming essential oil with a sweet, tangy aroma, similar to orange. It helps with occasional nervous irritability. An excellent oil to help uplift the spirit and bring about a sense of security, tangerine is also rich in the powerful antioxidant d-limonene. Tangerine may also be used to enhance the flavor of food.

Jasmine (Jasminum officinale) Absolute has a warm, exotic, floral fragrance that relaxes, soothes, uplifts, and enhances self-confidence. Jasmine is beneficial for the skin. It has been used throughout history for romance and attraction and for balancing the feminine energy of the body.
**Jasmine is an absolute or essence, rather than an essential oil.

Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) Essential Oil has a warm, sweet, herbaceous scent that is relaxing and calming for both mind and body. Its gentleness makes it especially valuable for restless children. Soothing to all types of skin, it is used extensively in Europe in skin preparations. Roman chamomile is also beneficial when added to massage oil for relief of muscle discomfort after exercise. A calming oil that resonates well with children, adults and animals. Roman chamomile was one of the Saxons’ nine sacred herbs. Roman Chamomile has an approximate ORAC of 2,446 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.

Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martini) essential oil is also known as Turkish Geranium or Indian Geranium Oil. It is steam distilled from the leaves of the plant. This oil can be stimulating and soothing to the body and mind.

Rose (Rosa damascena) Essential Oil has a beautiful, strong floral and sweet fragrance that is intoxicating and highly romantic. It helps bring balance and harmony with stimulating and uplifting properties that create a sense of well-being and self-confidence. Used for skin care for thousands of years, it is perfect for dry or aging skin. Rose has an approximate ORAC of 1,604,284 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.
