It will leave your skin feeling silky smooth and looking radiant. Frankincense, known as the Father of all oils, is a highly prized and valuable ingredient in this recipe, and is found in many skin care products for aging and dry skin. Its a real treat and I love applying this to my face before going to bed at night. You’ll love the way your skin feels. Consider making some of this up for friends or family and giving as a gift! Look for the PEEL HERE marking on the label and carefully remove label from bottle. 2- Then remove plastic orifice and plastic ring from bottle neck. 3- Place bottles, and plastic parts in a bowl or pan of hot soapy water. 4- Let soak for 1/2 an hour or more, or overnight if desired. 5- Remove bottles, caps and orifices and discard water. 6- Remove any remaining labels from bottles. 12 Days of Christmas DIY Body Lotion Bars

This is day three of the 12 Days of Christmas DIY Recipes series, showing you how to use your essential oils and make your own essential oil infused gifts. Today’s project focuses on showing you how to make beautiful, luxurious body lotion bars. I’ve tried making homemade lotions before but have to say, I prefer body lotion bars over lotions. I’m hooked on them! Unlike lotions, lotion bars don’t require the addition of any emulsifying ingredients like homemade lotions do, which can be tricky. Lotion bars are solid at room temp, but when rubbed on your skin the heat from your body melts it leaving a thin layer of moisturizing ingredients clinging to your skin. Making homemade toiletry items gives me the ability to determine what goes into them and allows me to fine tune the final product to meet my needs at the time. It allows me to avoid … Continue reading

12 Days of Christmas DIY Foaming Hand Soap

This is day two of the 12 Days of Christmas DIY Recipes series, showing you how to use your essential oils and make your own essential oil infused gifts. Today’s project is going to show you how incredibly easy it is to make your own essential oil infused foaming bath soap, and it’s even easier than making yesterday’s bath salts. Before we begin there are a couple of things to keep in mind… 1- It’s important to use a foaming soap dispenser and NOT just a regular soap dispenser. These types of dispensers are intended to make the soap “foamy” otherwise it comes out watery. Castile soap has a watery consistency and is not thick like what your used to when buying hand soap from the store. It’s all natural and has no artificial thickeners in it which are bad for your body. 2- While you can use regular castile … Continue reading

Supplement with Master Formula and NingXia Red

In order to make sure your body is getting all the vitamins and minerals needed to help it function at optimal levels it’s more important than ever to use supplements… ones that your body can actually absorb. We simply are not getting the needed nutrients from our food any longer without supplementation. According to an article “Dirt Poor: Have Fruits and Vegetables Become Less Nutritious?” our soil no longer contains the same amount of nutrients it once did. Outdated farming practices and the typical American SAD diet is a bad combination and us leading off right off the cliff. “It would be overkill to say that the carrot you eat today has very little nutrition in it—especially compared to some of the other less healthy foods you likely also eat—but it is true that fruits and vegetables grown decades ago were much richer in vitamins and minerals than the varieties … Continue reading

Living your DASH

Our journey in life has often been referred to as “living your dash”… the time or life lived between the dates on your tombstone. What I want you to consider today is “How are you living YOUR dash?” It’s not the date you were born, or the date that you die that will really matter. It’s ‘the dash’ between those years and how you live it that will really count. I want my life to count and know how I want to live my “dash”. I want to impact lives in positive, powerful ways. One of the ways I do this is to encourage others to journey into the world of Young Living Essential Oils and believe that this journey can empower everyone to live a life that is full, vibrant and healthy. We are a health and wellness company and believe that essential oils, nature’s living energy, will have … Continue reading

Ultimate Southwestern Chopped Salad with Cilantro Dressing

I love to adapt recipes whenever I can to fit our needs and taste buds. I absolutely LOVE it when I can easily change or adapt one to incorporate the use of Young Living’s essential oils. I recently saw a recipe for a Southwestern Chopped Salad and I knew immediately this recipe was a match made in heaven and that it would easily allow the use of essential oils. Another benefit… this recipe adapts so easily to making mason jar salads, my new favorite for busy schedules. This salad, with its beautiful bursts of color, is not only very nutritious but also very appetizing and sure to make mouths water. The use of mason jar salads is another cool option to help you with your weight management goals as they are healthy, and quick and easy to prepare ahead a time. Adding kefir to this recipe was the icing on … Continue reading

MAKING HEALTHY CHOICES… The Path Towards Health!

The path towards health includes eating real food along with getting plenty of exercise and are probably the two most important things that we can do for our physical and mental health. Sadly, for a lot people that’s not the norm. With our busy lifestyles its easy to let both of these slip towards the back of the priority list isn’t it? I know I struggle with it and bet most of you do too. For those wanting to begin making better, healthier choices for themselves and their family begin first by taking steps to educate yourself on the benefits of eating REAL live food including how to incorporate cultured foods into your diet, and getting plenty of exercise. It may be just the motivation you need to make any necessary changes needed. Eating highly processed foods which may contain harmful additives and chemicals, growth promoters and/or GMO ingredients along … Continue reading
