Even in your favorite perfumes and colognes. The list literally goes on and on. If a product has a fragrance chances are its coming from a toxic soup of synthetic, man-made chemicals. We are constantly exposed to them and they can be found literally everywhere- in our homes, cars, schools, office buildings, stores, malls, etc. In fact, … Continue reading

Another oh so easy recipe and a great gift idea that you can make look very elegant, or sweet and simple… it’s totally up to you and once again can be very inexpensive to do! Once I started using Young Living’s essential oils I learned about the importance of removing as many chemicals as possible from our environment because of all the detrimental effects they have on our body, and that they react negatively with essential oils. It’s been an on-going process but I’m making slow, steady progress. Last year I got rid of all the plastic storage containers for storing leftovers and went to glass. You can learn more about that here. I no longer use chemical laden fragrant candles either. I now diffuse essential oils by either using … Continue reading

12 Days of Christmas DIY Foaming Hand Soap

This is day two of the 12 Days of Christmas DIY Recipes series, showing you how to use your essential oils and make your own essential oil infused gifts. Today’s project is going to show you how incredibly easy it is to make your own essential oil infused foaming bath soap, and it’s even easier than making yesterday’s bath salts. Before we begin there are a couple of things to keep in mind… 1- It’s important to use a foaming soap dispenser and NOT just a regular soap dispenser. These types of dispensers are intended to make the soap “foamy” otherwise it comes out watery. Castile soap has a watery consistency and is not thick like what your used to when buying hand soap from the store. It’s all natural and has no artificial thickeners in it which are bad for your body. 2- While you can use regular castile … Continue reading
