Come Oil With Me…

Come Oil with Me is an invitation to join me in a year long challenge to learn all about some of the oils or blends that Young Living offers- one oil, one week at a time. Through a series of blog posts we’ll be focusing on one Young Living oil or blend at a time, starting with the oils in our Premium Starter Kit. I believe this challenge will educate and empower each of us to live a life of oily bliss. At this year’s 2016 Live Your Passion Grand Convention, Gary Young gave each of us a challenge… to focus on one single oil or blend a week. To learn all about it, to research it, to study it, and most importantly to USE it and experience its benefits first hand… each and every day for an entire week. Imagine what that means. Potentially it means that at the … Continue reading

Procrastination… You’re History!

Ever feel overwhelmed or just not in the mood to deal with something? Do you find yourself putting off things that you really hate to do? Are you an avoider, a procrastinator and ready for a change? If we’re honest with ourselves I think each of us deals with this at some point in our life. One of the best ways to support a normal, healthy attitude and prepare to move forward in positive ways is to combine the use of essential oils with what I like to call “intentional thinking”. You may be asking yourself at this point… “What in the world is she talking about? What in the world is ‘intentional thinking’? It is a very simple technique and you can learn more about this topic and how to do it here!. I like to think of it as a way to combine meditation, visualization and prayer in … Continue reading

12 Days of Christmas DIY Water Crystal Gel Diffusers

Making DIY Water Crystal Gel Diffusers is the focus of day 6 of our 12 Days of Christmas DIY Recipes. Another oh so easy recipe and a great gift idea that you can make look very elegant, or sweet and simple… it’s totally up to you and once again can be very inexpensive to do! Once I started using Young Living’s essential oils I learned about the importance of removing as many chemicals as possible from our environment because of all the detrimental effects they have on our body, and that they react negatively with essential oils. It’s been an on-going process but I’m making slow, steady progress. Last year I got rid of all the plastic storage containers for storing leftovers and went to glass. You can learn more about that here. I no longer use chemical laden fragrant candles either. I now diffuse essential oils by either using … Continue reading

Essential Oils for Your New Years Resolutions

Essential oils may be the answer you’ve been looking for all those New Years resolutions just waiting for implementation. Many people are inspired each January 1st to make New Years resolutions. You may be one of those people. Sadly though, even with the best of intentions one can quickly succumb to old habits and old ways of thinking. Fortunately though, essential oils may help you experience success this time around. Many people, including myself, find that daily use of essential oils help to raise their energy levels and frequency, and many report experiencing a greater spiritual awakening when using our essential oils. I can literally tell the difference in my energy level if I don’t “oil up” each day. The sense of smell is the only one of the five senses directly linked to the limbic lobe of the brain, which is the emotional control center. When inhaled, essential oils … Continue reading

Getting Kids to Clean Their Room… with Essential Oils!

Getting kids to clean their room is a battle most parents struggle with but recent research shows it may be easier than we thought… and the answer may be as simple as diffusing citrus essential oils. Of course, using other helpful strategies won’t hurt either but the addition of diffusing citrus essential oils may be just the right thing to send success right over the top, leaving you jumping with glee and your kids feeling less scattered and better about themselves!!! The practice of aromatherapy is well known for its ability to trigger memories and influence emotions and thought, but recent research shows that it can even effect behavior. As you inhale an aroma, odour molecules enter your nostrils and drift up toward your olfactory receptors. Once the receptors identify an odor, nerve cells relay this information directly to the limbic system. The olfactory nerve cells are the only sensory … Continue reading
